You can send your patients a Text Message reminder of their appointment. This feature is optional and has a separate rate.
You can enable Text Messages by following these steps:
- Login as the Admin
- Click Settings (gear icon)
- Under Subscriptions click Add-ons
- Add the Text Messaging Add-on.
If you're on a paid account (not a free Trial), you will be billed for the Text Messaging Add-on feature for the remainder of your current subscription.
Sending Text Messages
When booking an appointment, you can select Text Message as a notification option. If the patient has a valid mobile phone number stored in their account, they will receive a Text Message reminder based on the number of hours before their appointment which you specify.
Modifying the Text Message content and number of hours before the appointment to send
You can modify both the content of the Text Message sent to remind patients and the number of hours before the appointment to send the message. This is done through editing the Patient Notifications.
